1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Cloud Guard ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Cloud Guard is a secure, end-to-end encrypted cloud storage application that allows you to upload, store, and retrieve files. Files are encrypted on your device before being uploaded and can only be decrypted by you.
3. User Accounts
- You must create an account to use Cloud Guard
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate information during registration
- One person or entity may not maintain more than one account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Cloud Guard to:
- Store, transmit, or distribute any content that violates any applicable law
- Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Abuse, harass, or harm other users or the service
- Use the service for any illegal activity
5. Your Data & Encryption
Cloud Guard uses AES-256-GCM encryption to protect your files. Key responsibilities:
- You own your data. We do not claim any rights to your files or content.
- Encryption keys are yours. We do not store or have access to your encryption keys.
- Data loss responsibility. Because only you can decrypt your files, we cannot recover files if you lose access to your device or encryption key. Keep your credentials safe.
6. Storage Limits
Cloud Guard currently provides free storage. We reserve the right to introduce storage limits or paid tiers in the future. Users will be notified in advance of any changes to storage policies.
7. Service Availability
We strive to keep Cloud Guard available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.
8. Intellectual Property
The Cloud Guard name, logo, and application code are the intellectual property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App or its source code without explicit permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cloud Guard and its developer shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data due to user error, lost encryption keys, or device failure
- Unauthorized access to your account due to compromised credentials
- Service interruptions beyond our reasonable control
10. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the App. All your data, including encrypted files and metadata, will be permanently deleted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or website. Continued use of Cloud Guard after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
